Blended Rainbow Roving
Tutorial |
| First
we start with the fiber being aligned on the drum carder.
|
Make
sure each color remains separate on the carder.
|
| Doff
the completely carded fibers at the seam.
|
Just
another view of the doffed fibers.
|
| Bring
first color through the diz, pulling slowly and firmly.
|
Incorporate
the second color while you still have some of the first color
fibers in your hand.
|
| You
now have two colors that are blended.
|
Here
is a picture of all the colors blended together.
|
| Once
you have reached the end of the carding cloth, start back in the
opposite direction.
|
Continue
back and forth until you have the desired results you want and you
have finished with the fiber on your carder.
|
| Just
back and forth.
|
Again,
back and forth.
|
| Once
you reach the end of the fiber, you have a completed roving.
