I do not proclaim to be an expert
at this by any means. I am just showing you how I
am able to do this myself. My terminology may be wrong so bear
with me as I learn as I go as well.
To prepare your warp yarns without using a warping board you
will need a long work table and three clamps.
Hint...not shown...for peace of mind, tie a marker thread on
each group of 10 threads your wrap...for me with 5 children, 3
cats, and a dog...ummm life sometimes happens and I loose count of
where I am at. Tying each 10 makes it east to recount and
pick up were I missed a beat.
Let's
repeat that...
Now
comes the fun part...getting even tension on your yarns while
winding your threads on the warp beam.
I used groups of 6 threads (total of 12) to tie since I am
using a 12 epi heddle
Start on one side and move to the opposite end and tie with a
bow. Continue rotating sides until you meet in the middle
