:: Rose Of Sharon Scarf ::
Here’s my finished Rose Of Sharon Scarf. I showed you the warp in this post.

Warp is 5/2 cotton and Rayon chainette. Weft is rayon. I did a clasped weft which is explained well here. I used gray and green so it looks really subdued but is pretty. It’s not showing up well in this picture so here’s a closer look.

Still can’t see it? Take a look at it while it was soaking….

There, see it now?
I enjoyed weaving this scarf and hope to make more in the future.
Fingerless mitts still in progress and I am thinking a roving rug will be next up on the loom.

It’s beautiful - love the colors. How are you doing the roving rug? I’ve been wanting to make one. I feel like I’m playing ‘follow the leader’ with your projects. You inspire me to try new things.

The weft clasping has worked really well. It’s such a simple technique but has a great impact. Wonderful!

Wow! That’s gorgeous - we get sunrises like that over the Tay in winter.

Rose of Sharon scarf is just beautiful. I hadn’t been to your blog in awhile so am catching up now…it is February 3rd. What does it mean when you say, “three skeins of yarn will you leave me some more”?
