An Invitation

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Hebrews 13:2

Do you act differently when you have visitors in your home?  Do you treat your family just a little differently?  Do you have a more pleasing tone of voice? Is your attitude a little different towards your spouse?  Your children?  Are you a little more tolerant when you are wronged?  Why is that? Are you wanting to make a good impression?

If God were your invited guest and standing by your side, would you fight with your spouse or would you show a kinder spirit?  Would you get mad at the muddy foot prints your children tracked in, or would you smile and gently remind them to wipe their feet on the mat?

I realized the other day that I needed to extend my invitation to God to share my day before I even had my morning cup of coffee and ask HIM to stay until bedtime.  Once I decided to start inviting God as my guest, I noticed a big difference on how I handled the “little” stuff that came up at home.

It’s easy to extend your invitation to God and he will gladly RSVP to you.  In fact, HE is waiting right now for you to invite HIM over.
